Participate in an exciting survey conducted by Mirela Cufurovic from the Centre for Islamic Studies and Civilisation at Charles Sturt University as part of her Doctoral research project.
Criteria:
Muslim
18+
Born in Australia OR arrived to Australia before the age of 5.
What is the purpose of this study?
The aim of the research is to trace to what extent emotional attachment contributes to identity and cultural integration. That is, how it feels to be an Australian Muslim. The findings from the research will help show how integration might be influenced by emotional investment and whether minority groups develop a unique identity when compared to the wider Australian community. By exploring how emotion may contribute to the identity and cultural integration of Australian Muslims, the research invites the Australian Muslim community to ask themselves ‘how do I feel as an Australian?’
