February 21, 2023
We are absolutely thrilled to announce the WINNER of the Riaz Hassan Prize for 2022! We had a number of entries – thank you to all who submitted their honours thesis for consideration. We pride ourselves in championing scholarship by up and coming scholars in the field of Islamic Studies. This is what makes the Riaz Hassan prize special to our association.
So, without further ado, a big congratulations to Grant Kynaston on his brilliant submission titled “Conceptions of Islamic Law in the Colonial Court Practice of the Netherlands-Indies, 1848-1867”.
